Terms of Service

Effective Date: November 30, 2025


1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OurFamilyGrid (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms affect your legal rights and obligations. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Medical Disclaimer & No Reliance [IMPORTANT]

NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE: OurFamilyGrid is a scheduling and organization tool. It is not a medical device and should not be relied upon for life-critical medical adherence.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Service is designed to assist with family organization, not to replace professional medical advice or standard medical care.
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring medications are administered correctly and on time.
  • We are not liable for any health consequences resulting from missed notifications, server downtime, software bugs, or incorrect data entry.
  • You should always maintain a secondary method for tracking critical medications.

3. User Responsibilities & Children's Data

To use the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the legal parent or guardian of any child profile you create within the system.
  • You will strictly adhere to our data minimization policy by entering only First Names or Nicknames for children.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password.

4. Integrations

4.1. Google Calendar

By connecting your Google Calendar, you grant us permission to sync events as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of the API is also governed by Google's Terms of Service.

4.2. WhatsApp Business

By using our WhatsApp Bot feature, you agree:

  • Voluntary Use: Linking your phone number is optional.
  • Service Messages: All interactions with the bot are user-initiated service messages.
  • No Emergency Use: Do not use the WhatsApp bot for emergency communications.
  • Acceptable Use: You will not spam, abuse, or exploit the bot functionality.
  • We reserve the right to block your number or terminate bot access for excessive usage or abuse.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

If you purchase a subscription to the Service:

  • Payments are billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis (e.g., monthly or annually).
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Dashboard settings. Access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled at our sole discretion or as required by UK Consumer Law.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms, specifically regarding:

  • Entering false information about guardianship.
  • Misuse of the WhatsApp integration.
  • Attempting to access data belonging to other families.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OurFamilyGrid shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation:

  • Loss of data (including family schedules or logs).
  • Failure of the Service to provide reminders (medication or otherwise).
  • Unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to secure your password.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any material changes take effect.
