OurGrid Password Manager — Privacy Policy

The OurGrid Password Manager browser extension ("the extension") helps you autofill and copy logins stored in your own OurFamilyGrid vault and OurKitchenGrid supplier records. This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles and where it goes.

What the extension accesses

• Your OurGrid account credentials — the email/username and password you type into the extension to connect to OurFamilyGrid and/or OurKitchenGrid. These are sent directly to those services over HTTPS to obtain a login token; they are not stored by the extension after sign-in.
• Login tokens — after you sign in, an authentication token for each connected service is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) so you don't have to re-enter your password each time.
• Saved logins from your vault — when you use autofill or copy, the relevant username and password are retrieved on demand from your own OurGrid account over HTTPS. Passwords are only fetched at the moment you request them.
• Logins you enter on websites — when you submit a login form, the extension may temporarily hold the entered username and password in local browser storage (for up to 60 seconds) so it can offer to save them to your OurFamilyGrid vault. If you dismiss the prompt or the time elapses, this data is discarded.

How your data is used

• Solely to autofill, copy, and optionally save your logins at your request.
• Copied passwords are placed on your clipboard and automatically cleared after 30 seconds.
• The extension communicates only with ourfamilygrid.com and ourkitchengrid.com — your own OurGrid services.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party.
• We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking in the extension.
• We do not transmit your data to any server other than your own OurGrid accounts.
• We do not read or collect the content of the web pages you visit beyond locating login fields to fill or capture at your request.

Data storage & security

Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser and are removed when you disconnect an account or when a token is rejected by the server. All communication with OurGrid services uses HTTPS.

Your control

You can disconnect any account at any time from the extension popup, which deletes the stored token for that service. Removing the extension deletes all locally stored data.
